What Does My $49.00 Fee Include?

The most inclusive program on the market, designed with all families in mind.

For only $49, our team will be providing professional grad portrait sessions at your school and photography at the ceremony.

*For families in need of financial support, please contact your school counsellor for special arrangements.

What to Expect at My Grad Appointment

General Information

Appointments are booked in 7 minute increments to account for grads flowing through multiple stations. Please note your full appointment time will be 45 minutes to 1 hour to visit 3 stations. We recommend arriving 10 minutes prior to your start time ensuring you are relaxed when you enter the studio area. Sessions will be held at your school.

STATION 1

CAP & GOWN
YEARBOOK PORTRAITS

These iconic images are not only timeless keepsakes for your family, they will be showcased in your school’s yearbook and proudly displayed on a composite in the school hallways. Our photographers will be focusing on the traditional elements of a yearbook portrait with a special attention to regalia placement and posing.

Part of your program fee includes GradsBC preparing and submitting 1 selected yearbook image to the school. A variety of prints, products and digital files will be available online for additional purchase.

TIP: A traditional yearbook portrait would include a shirt and tie. We recommend a white collared shirt or blouse. A v-neck shirt is an option for a more casual look. Refer to last year’s grad wall composite for ideas. We encourage you to bring your own shirt and tie, however we will have extras available for use onsite.

STATION 2

FASHION PORTRAITS

Part of your grad appointment will be a fashion forward approach on modern backdrops. We encourage you to wear something that makes you feel special. For some that might be more formal attire and for others that might mean a pair of ripped jeans and a trendy t-shirt. This is your opportunity to showcase your personal style. We welcome you to bring your *furry friends, musical instruments, sports gear, and/or any other interesting prop you think will make a great photo opp!

*Check with your school on pet policies.

What is the TimeCapsule™ Product & When will I receive it?

As part of your fee, each graduate will receive 1-5×7 print of them with their diploma at the Ceremony.

TIMECAPSULE™ DELIVERY

Event Products will be available at the end of June or early July depending on event dates. The printed product is delivered to the school for distribution. Ensure you pick up your product before summer holidays!

BUDDY PHOTOS

$15 per person, per appointment

Let us capture this special time with your friends before you head off to post secondary or other future endeavours. Get creative with jerseys, musical instruments and other props! Each session includes Includes 6 – 10 final poses in an online gallery.

Buddy Photos is a special event and will only take place on 1 day during grad portraits. Space is limited – book today!

FAMILY PROGRAM DETAILS

Providing Memories & Giving Back

GradsBC proudly provides Family Photo Fundraisers annually for many schools around the lower mainland. For an inclusive fee of just $39, families experience a mini portrait session that includes a variety of poses to choose from. Most importantly, we give back $20 of each session fee to participating schools.

PAC coordinators, looking for ways to boost fundraising this year in a meaningful way? Our planning team will handle the organization from a convenient online booking system to marketing support and personal customer service for your school community. We have the ability to raise up to $1300 for your School… in 1 Afternoon!

GOOD THINGS TO KNOW

Important Dates

School Photo Day dates will be posted on your school’s website calendar. If you will be away on photo days and would like a photo taken, please contact us about a private in-studio session.

What to Wear?

Most importantly, we want you to wear what makes you feel confident. This image will be showcased in your school’s yearbook for you classmates and families to remember you by.

Tip: try shirts without logos or patterns that might outdate the photo or be a distraction. Neutral colours work well. The photo will be closely cropped for the yearbook so you may want to rethink any strapless shirts or dressess.

Hairstyles

We love seeing the trends of hairstyles that come and go over the years… it’s part of what defines a generation.

Tip: if you are getting a haircut or changing your hair colour, we recommend doing this 1 to 2 weeks prior to photo day. This gives you time to figure out how to style your new doo and feel confident with your new look.

How do I login to my gallery?

Log in to your gallery by visiting our website and clicking ‘View & Order.’ Enter your online code and email address to access and enjoy your photos.

When will the gallery be live?

The Grad gallery is expected to be live within 2 weeks after the grad week is complete and all grads have been photographed. We’re diligently working to ensure that all images are presented with the utmost care and quality.

The School photo galley will be live within 7 days.

Online Code

Your online code is your student number followed by your 2-digit birth date.

For example, if your student number is 00123 and you were born on January 3rd, your online code will be 0012303; if you were born on January 15th, your online code will be 0012315.

What to do if I lost my online code?

If you can’t find your code, feel free to reach out to our support team. We’re here to help you retrieve your code and access your gallery.

Hats

We love a good ballcap but we will not be taking photographs with them on photo day. Photos from the shoot will be used for a number of service items that the school requires to clearly identify students. It can be hard for Administrators to easily recognize a student with a hat on. If a student arrives at our camera with a hat on, we will kindly ask them to remove it for ID purposes. Thank you for your understanding.

Glasses

Inform the photographer about your glasses so they can adjust the lighting and angles accordingly. If possible, adjust your glasses’ angle to minimize reflections without compromising your vision. If you are comfortable and preferred, take a few photos without your glasses.

How to View & Order?

Scan your QR code slip that is given out on photo day to be notified as soon as the gallery is ready to view. This is the fastest and most efficient way for us to communicate important gallery information to you. If you have misplaced the slip, or need assistance with viewing your gallery, please contact us.
